Video in emails

With the increased security from individual email clients and fear of trojans, viruses and spam, many email clients simply won’t display video in inboxes. Some email clients will even delete the video code. So what options do you have when you want to share a video with your contacts via an email?

Solution:

1. Take a screen shot of the video
   (Advanced user: take multiple screen shots and create an animated gif)
2. Add a Play-button over the image so it’s clear that the image is clickable and goes to a video
   (online tool for adding a Play-button to an image: http://addplaybuttontoimage.way4info.net/)
3. Add an image-block to your mailing and link it to the video on YouTube or Vimeo etc.
