Insert the mandatory unsubscribe link and Show as web page link

According to various marketing acts across the United States of America and Europe, all recipients of your emails MUST be given a clear, simple and free opportunity to unsubscribe from your emails. The easiest way to do this is by adding an unsubscribe link to all emails.

Inserting an unsubscribe link

  1. Write a short unsubscribe text somewhere in your email
  2. Highlight the text
  3. Click the link icon above the text box
  4. Click the actions tab
  5. Select “Unsubscribe” in the drop-down list and then click insert.

Insert “View as web page” link

The web version link is not mandatory, but it is a good thing to have in your email in case the recipient is having problems reading your email in her/his email client.

  • Write a good “Show as web page”-text somewhere in your email (preferably at the beginning of the email since there is where your recipients probably will expect it to be located).
  • Highlight the text
  • Click the link icon above the text box
  • Click the actions tab
  • Select “Show as web page” in the drop-down list and then click insert.
