Do a spam test

We use the external service Mail Tester to do a spam test. This service tests your newsletter against the most common spam filters and will give you a score that reflects the likelihood of your mailing ending up in recipient junk folders. It’s a 10-point scale where the higher the score, the less likely your mailing will be filtered as spam.
- Head to www.mail-tester.com and copy the email address in the white box
- Go back to your mailing draft and send a test mailing to this email address
- Navigate back to Mail Tester and click “Then check your score”
- The number you get is your score
If you have a score of 7.0 or higher – you’re good to go!
Is your score is lower than 7.0? Scroll down on Mail Tester to see why you got a lower score.
Scores lower than 5.0 are marked as spam and are very unlikely to reach your recipient’s inboxes.
NB: You can make three tests per day for free via Mail Tester.
